About Julie

I was born and raised in Michigan as a first-generation American. I grew up as a competitive athlete with a love for the outdoors, and a healthy appetite for travel and adventure. The daughter of two physicians, I forged a new path and became a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatry and family medicine. With over 15 years of clinical experience, I have a deep passion for integrating physical and mental health, drawing from diverse experiences in settings ranging from the emergency room to veteran affairs and private practice.

I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami and a post-master’s certificate in psychiatry from the University of California, San Francisco. My time in the ER revealed critical gaps between medical and psychiatric care, which led me to pursue a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner license. This journey inspired me to create a practice that blends allopathic and holistic approaches, including yoga, plant medicine traditions, and Ayurveda. My clinical work is further enriched by additional certifications in Somatic Experiencing, Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KRIYA Institute), MDMA Assisted Therapy (Lykos Therapeutics), and a one-year fellowship with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute.

Beyond my clinical expertise, I’m an entrepreneur who co-founded and co-directed an integrative mental health and wellness clinic in Berkeley, CA. In collaboration with a business partner, for eight years, I built the clinic from the ground up, co-managing a team of over 15 employees. I led medical operations, compliance, developed the ketamine-assisted therapy program, and oversaw general operations, customer satisfaction, and marketing strategies.

I’m also a dedicated advocate for psychedelic medicine and have spent the last decade educating the public on its therapeutic uses. I’ve spoken at numerous conferences, facilitated workshops, and co-authored book chapters on the subject. In addition, I’ve helped uplift diverse female voices within the psychedelic space through program development sponsored by The Riverstyx Foundation & Femtheogen Collaborative. My commitment to education reflects my belief that balanced health is achieved through embodiment practices, lifestyle, expanded states of consciousness, and spiritual discipline.

As a daughter, aunt, dog mama, lover, and dreamer, I bring a big heart and a playful spirit to my practice. I'm dedicated to supporting my patients on their journeys toward holistic well-being, believing in the transformative power of integrative care.
